Components of an automatic dehumidifier system for commercial application
Keywords:
Dehumidifier, Humidity Sensor, System DesignAbstract
There are already equipment available to remove moisture from controlled settings, but because of their high cost and maintenance needs, these are frequently avoided. Numerous microprocessor-based systems have been developed as a result of recent technological developments. Based on this development, a system was built around a microprocessor that can operate according to humidity and temperature values detected by a sensor. The system features a laboratory-specific design and software that allows users to adjust limit values via a touchscreen. This flexibility enables the relative humidity and temperature thresholds to be tailored for different growing media, such as sand, clay, silt, peat, and perlite, as well as for various plant species. The total cost of the system, including all components, is approximately $350, making it an accessible option for integration into existing growing environments.
